Sam’s teardrop coupe.
My big rig in micro-flake
A splendid time was had by all, making everyone the real winner (we did not place this year)

I’m loving the tape measure car. That collection looks like it belongs in a Richard Scarry book.

The semi is awesome! Did you actually run it on the track? How was the weight? (or did you just have the cab meet 5 oz and let the trailer be for show only)?

The older scouts actually build and race the 18 wheel semi trucks. This one we cobbled together from an abandoned kit missing it’s wheels and axles. no speed tuning on that one. After a few years with 2 little scouts we had enough wheels and axles from old cars to put it together. only 10 wheels on this one.the kids build them with 18.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t know anything about the big rig kits! This is a whole new world. My son is done w/ cub scouts, but my daughter is going to be doing it next year (as well as Girl Scouts). So we’ll be back at it. I need to figure out how tall our finish gate is. I envision running just the cab on our track during the dad s’ race (outlaw derby).
